Job description

Job Overview:

Merrick Construction, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Selections Coordinator to manage the administrative and client-facing aspects of the material selection process for our custom residential projects. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the main point of contact during the selections phase, sourcing samples, coordinating with vendors, managing documentation, and ensuring all materials align with the project’s specifications and timelines. This is not an interior designer role but an administrative, coordination-focused position ideal for someone who thrives on organization, clear communication, and delivering an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

● Act as the primary client contact during the selection process, sourcing and providing material samples for client review.

● Coordinate introductions to vendors and material suppliers, ensuring clients receive Merrick’s preferred trade pricing.

● Organize and manage meetings with clients for selections, providing regular project status updates.

● Prepare and distribute detailed selection documents, including material samples, specifications, and approval forms.

Coordinate directly with vendors, subcontractors, and the internal project management

● team regarding material orders, follow-ups, and confirmations.

● Manage all selection approval documentation and ensure timely client sign-off through DocuSign.

● Maintain thorough tracking of client selections, budgets, change orders, and deadlines.

● Support clients throughout the project lifecycle by providing prompt answers and guidance on selections.

● Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure selections are ordered, delivered, and installed per project schedules.

Qualifications:

● 2+ years of experience in residential construction, administrative support for construction projects, or selections/project coordination.

● Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

● Experience coordinating with vendors, material suppliers, and subcontractors.

● Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and service-focused demeanor.

● Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

● Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with project management software is a plus.

● Ability to guide clients through the process while maintaining project budgets and timelines.

● Reliable transportation for attending vendor meetings and project appointments.

● Willingness to learn Merrick’s standards and operating procedures, bringing positive energy and professionalism.
