Experienced Security Systems Technician (5+ Years Experience Required)

We specialize in the design, installation, service, and maintenance of commercial and residential electronic security systems throughout Westchester County, the Hudson Valley, New York City, and the surrounding areas.

Our primary focus is commercial security solutions, including IP video surveillance, electronic access control, burglar alarms, fire alarm systems, intercoms, and networking. We are committed to delivering high-quality installations, exceptional customer service, and building long-term relationships with our clients.

We are looking for an experienced technician who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys solving technical challenges, and wants to grow with a company that values professionalism, integrity, and teamwork.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Experienced Security Systems Technician with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience installing, servicing, programming, and troubleshooting electronic security systems.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with CCTV, burglar alarms, commercial fire alarm systems, electronic access control, and low-voltage cabling. This position requires someone who can work independently, manage projects from start to finish, communicate professionally with customers, and consistently deliver clean, organized, code-compliant installations.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, program, service, and troubleshoot IP video surveillance (CCTV) systems.
  • Install, service, and troubleshoot burglar alarm systems.
  • Install, service, and troubleshoot commercial fire alarm systems.
  • Install, program, and troubleshoot electronic access control systems.
  • Install and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and other low-voltage wiring.
  • Configure NVRs, IP cameras, network switches, wireless bridges, and related networking equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system integration issues.
  • Read blueprints, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and construction documents.
  • Complete installations that meet company standards for quality, appearance, and reliability.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and office staff.
  • Train customers on the operation of installed systems.
  • Complete service reports and document work performed.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience installing and servicing electronic security systems.
  • Strong experience with CCTV, burglar alarms, commercial fire alarm systems, and access control.
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking and low-voltage wiring.
  • Ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience with commercial construction and retrofit projects.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to safely work on ladders and lifts.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
