Job Title: Assistant Security Manager
Location: Pinnacle Bank Arena & Pinewood Bowl Theater

Reports To: Security Manager
FLSA Status: FT Salaried, Exempt
The Assistant Security Manager supports the Security Manager in overseeing security operations at Pinnacle Bank Arena and Pinewood Bowl Theater. Responsibilities include live event security, daily building security operations, staffing, scheduling, training, incident response, facility inspections, and emergency preparedness.
This position takes an active leadership role during events and works closely with clients, staff, law enforcement, fire/EMS, and other facility departments to maintain a safe and secure environment for patrons, employees, performers, and clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Security Manager in planning, organizing, supervising, and evaluating building and event security operations.
• Take an active leadership role during concerts, sporting events, graduations, family shows, and other live events, including supervising personnel, assigning posts, responding to incidents, and adjusting security operations as event needs change.
• Assist with event security planning and advancing, including client and promoter requirements, staffing, patron screening, access control, restricted areas, crowd management, and emergency procedures.
• Assist with scheduling building security, third-party security, event security, leads, monitors, and dispatch personnel to ensure appropriate staffing for events and daily operations.
• Respond to disturbances, complaints, security incidents, and emergencies and coordinate with police, K9 units, fire, EMS, Governor's Executive Detail, and other public safety or security organizations as necessary.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and response, including severe weather, evacuations, shelter-in-place situations, fires, medical emergencies, civil disturbances, and other unusual situations.
• Help oversee the Security Control Center and maintain a working knowledge of dispatch operations, incident reporting systems, cameras, access control, fire alarm systems, and other security technology.
• Conduct facility security inspections and assist with maintaining appropriate security of doors, gates, restricted areas, fire and life-safety equipment, docks, shipping and receiving areas, keys, credentials, and security equipment.
• Investigate incidents, review available information and video when appropriate, complete detailed reports, maintain required documentation, and communicate significant concerns to the Security Manager.
• Develop, coordinate, and document security training and provide ongoing direction, coaching, and support to building and event security personnel and leads.
• Assist with the implementation and enforcement of Legends Global and facility security policies, procedures, emergency plans, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding security procedures, investigations, surveillance, access-control information, employee matters, client information, and other sensitive information.
• Prepare or assist with payroll, scheduling records, staffing documentation, call-off reports, and other administrative responsibilities as required.
• Rotate with other facility personnel to serve as Manager on Duty (MOD), maintaining responsibility and authority for facility operations, staff, patrons, security, safety, and client needs during assigned events.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and remain available on designated days or weeks to respond to security incidents, staffing issues, facility concerns, emergencies, or other operational needs outside of normally scheduled hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on facility and event needs.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Position requires ability to:
• Strong knowledge of security operations, preferably within a sports, entertainment, or public assembly venue, including live event security, patron screening, access control, crowd management, and emergency response.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to supervise personnel, communicate expectations, resolve conflicts, and respond appropriately in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing event conditions, staffing needs, client requests, emergencies, and other operational needs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to accurately document incidents, procedures, and other security-related information.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, prioritize responsibilities, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, patrons, contractors, and public safety agencies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling and incident reporting systems, and standard security technology.
• Physical capability to extensively patrol the facility, work events for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and operate light machinery as required.
• Valid driver's license and insurance for operating motor vehicles in the United States.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in security, event operations, training, and supervision, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of five (5) years of event security or closely related experience is required, with a minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory role.
WORK HOURS:
Flexible availability is required, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended or irregular hours. Working events is an essential requirement of this position, and the Assistant Security Manager will be expected to regularly work concerts, sporting events, graduations, festivals, and other events at Pinnacle Bank Arena and Pinewood Bowl Theater.
This position will also participate in an on-call rotation and may be required to be available on designated days or weeks to respond to security incidents, staffing issues, facility concerns, emergencies, or other operational needs outside of normally scheduled hours.
