Job Description:

For more than 60 years, since the dawn of the Space Age, our L3Harris weather business has been an industry-leading provider of high precision, space-based instruments for severe weather tracking and forecasting, along with low latency, high throughput ground systems supporting command, control, communications, data processing, and spectrum management for customers worldwide. We are seeking a Program Manager responsible for successful program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance in this rapidly growing business area. This role leads all phases of program activity from start up through delivery, leveraging technical development and project management experience to shape program direction and ensure both programmatic and business success. The Program Manager will engage directly with customers, suppliers, leadership, and cross functional teams, frequently navigating complex challenges that require innovative problem solving and broad organizational awareness.

Essential Functions:

Accountable for Overall Program Performance Including:
  o Customer Satisfaction: Delivering an exceptional customer experience through our values, responsiveness, and mission performance
  o Financial Performance: Meeting commitments for orders, sales, operating income, investment, cash flow, budgets, and reserve forecasting and execution
  o Schedule Performance: Ensuring timely, responsive, and successful completion of all program activities and formal deliverables
  o Quality: Ensuring all program deliverables meet or exceed L3Harris and customer expectations
Collaborate with Supply Chain to develop and execute strategic plans that ensure supplier performance and alignment with program and financial objectives
Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements across all program lifecycle phases
Identify program risks and opportunities and assesses operational impacts
Lead program change management and maintains the cost, schedule, and performance measurement baseline
Develop, review, and approve program plans, schedules, subcontract agreements, and related documentation
Coordinate and monitor supplier activities, deliverables, and finances to ensure alignment with business financial goals
Ensure adequate engineering, manpower, production, and facility resources to support program execution
Provide clear, consistent communication of program status, changes, and performance to customers and L3Harris leadership
Prepare and deliver reports, briefings, and technical reviews to customers and leadership
Lead development of program proposals, including scope definition, budgeting, expenditure planning, and contract financial terms
Ability to obtain US Government security clearance

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience managing technology development programs with annual revenues of $50M+
Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams of approximately 25+ personnel
Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers in performance-based environments
Experience managing capital asset development
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
Experience with space-based hardware development or infrared remote sensing
Strong customer relationships with NASA, NOAA, or DoD
