What You Will Do:
This is a Physical Security Manager position that focuses on secured area construction and technical security infrastructure. Responsibilities include implementation and compliance with all US Government and Raytheon security requirements. Incumbent will provide guidance and direction to Project Management, secure area designers, general contractors, Industrial Security Professionals, CSSOs, and 3rd party technical security infrastructure secure services providers. This role will coordinate with external and internal customers on physical security requirements.
Responsibilities
  • You will perform, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of physical security activities that ensure the continued protection of the workforce, national security information, and corporate intellectual property.
  • Execute the Site Security Manager (SSM) role from initial concept through design, pre-construction, and construction phases of secure facility builds, renovations, and/or remodels as an enabler for the continued growth of Pratt & Whitney's Military Engines business.
  • Oversee and manage Access Control System and Intrusion Detection System (ACS/IDS) operations and maintenance to mitigate the risks of external and/or internal threats.
  • Author and update government-required physical security plans and documentation that are essential for Pratt delivering on contract commitments.
  • Train and mentor new and junior team members to maintain world class quality of support and skillsets.
  • Prepare for and fully support formal internal and government security compliance inspections which measure and confirm the level of security program effectiveness.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of federal regulations, industry security standards and framework, and common construction methods.
  • Monitor and address emerging threats, security technologies, and industry trends.
  • Guide guard force activities associated with secure areas in collaboration with the Global Security Services (GSS) Site Security Manager.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Advanced degree and 5+ years of Security, Site Risk Management, Military, Law Enforcement, Intelligence, Cybersecurity or related experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate's degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 12+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience must include at least 4 years of experience in a security-related position applying ICD 705, NISPOM, and/or DoDM 5205.07 requirements
  • Active U.S. government issued Secret level (or higher) security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience as a Site Security Manager (SSM), Construction Surveillance Technician (CST), or similar role for a construction project subject to meeting ICD 705 Tech Specs requirements.
  • Bonus points if you have training or familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) and TEMPEST countermeasures, and/or familiarity with the UL 2050 certification process.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and managing corporate security programs, and developing SOPs and process documentation.
  • Proven experience conducting security assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of integrated electronic security systems such as Access Control Systems (ACS), Closed-Circuit Surveillance (CSS/VSS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
  • Familiarity with "Technical Specifications for Construction and Management of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities," also known as "IC Tech Specs" or "ICD 705 Tech Specs."
  • Project coordination experience with ability to coordinate across government officials, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and principles (CORE/ACE, SixSigma).
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and interact across a matrix environment of executive leadership, suppliers, and contractors
  • One or more related professional certifications such as ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or similar.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
