Job description

Sentry Force Security is seeking a dependable and professional Security Dispatcher to join our team in the Hampton Roads area. The Security Dispatcher will serve as a central point of communication between security officers, supervisors, management, clients, and emergency services.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and respond to radio and telephone communications.
  • Dispatch security officers to incidents, calls for service, and assigned locations.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
  • Monitor officer activity and status throughout assigned shifts.
  • Receive and relay information quickly and accurately.
  • Communicate with supervisors and management regarding incidents and operational concerns.
  • Assist with emergency response and notification procedures.
  • Monitor security systems, cameras, alarms, and access control systems as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company, client, and security-related information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous dispatch, security, military, law enforcement, customer service, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn security-related software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
  • Must be dependable and able to work independently.
