How much do seasonal spa jobs pay per hour?

As of Aug 28, 2026, the average hourly pay for seasonal spa in the United States is $15.86, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $13.46 and $17.31 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What is a seasonal spa?

Seasonal Spa jobs are temporary positions typically offered by spas, resorts, or wellness centers during peak seasons such as summer, winter holidays, or tourist periods. These roles can include massage therapists, estheticians, spa attendants, receptionists, and other support staff. Seasonal Spa employees help manage increased client demand and ensure smooth spa operations during busy times. Often, these positions provide an opportunity to gain experience in the spa industry and may lead to permanent roles for outstanding performers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a seasonal spa attendant?

To thrive as a Seasonal Spa Attendant, you typically need knowledge of spa services, customer care skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with booking systems, point-of-sale (POS) software, and sanitation protocols is commonly required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a calm, welcoming demeanor help create a positive guest experience. These abilities ensure smooth spa operations, guest satisfaction, and compliance with industry standards during peak seasons.

What are some common challenges faced in a seasonal spa role, and how can they be managed effectively?

In a Seasonal Spa role, team members often encounter fluctuating workloads due to peak and off-peak periods, which can create challenges in time management and maintaining high standards of service. Adapting quickly to new procedures, products, and guest expectations is key, especially if the spa is located in a resort or tourist destination. Effective communication with both colleagues and guests, as well as flexibility in scheduling, helps ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment. Proactively seeking feedback and staying updated on spa trends can also support personal and team growth during the busy season.

Spa & Locker Room Supervisor
Reports To: Spa Manager
The Madison Club is seeking an experienced, energetic, and service-oriented Spa & Locker Room Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Spa and Ladies Locker Room while ensuring an exceptional experience for our Members and Guests. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for maintaining luxury service standards, supporting and supervising the Locker Room team, and ensuring the Spa operates efficiently, professionally, and seamlessly throughout each day.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced luxury environment, enjoys building genuine relationships with Members, and takes pride in developing a team that consistently delivers exceptional hospitality. This position requires someone who can lead by example, anticipate Member and operational needs, remain calm under pressure, and confidently make decisions while maintaining the highest standards of service.
The Spa & Locker Room Supervisor serves as a key liaison between the Spa Manager, Spa Coordinator, Locker Room Attendants, Spa Providers, and Members. This individual is expected to maintain a strong presence throughout the Spa, proactively identify operational needs, support the team wherever necessary, and ensure that every area of the Spa and Locker Room reflects the standards of The Madison Club.
Seasonal Employment Information
The Madison Club operates during the winter and spring season. This is a full-time seasonal position from October through June.
Candidates must have a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Due to the Club's busiest tournament and festival season, PTO requests during March and April are generally not approved.
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and uphold exceptional service standards for Members and Guests at every interaction.

  • Lead by example by warmly welcoming Members, using names whenever possible, and creating genuine, personalized connections.

  • Build meaningful relationships with Members by learning preferences, anticipating needs, and ensuring consistent personalized service.

  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the Spa and Locker Room to ensure Members are comfortable, relaxed, and cared for.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the Member experience.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to Member requests, concerns, and service recovery situations.

  • Partner with the Spa Manager when additional support or follow-up is required.

  • Ensure all Member information, preferences, and conversations are handled with discretion and confidentiality.

Team Leadership & Supervision
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and operational direction to the Spa and Locker Room team.

  • Lead by example and maintain a hands-on presence throughout daily operations.

  • Assign daily responsibilities and ensure appropriate coverage based on Spa activity, appointments, Member usage, and Club events.

  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily schedules, special requests, events, operational updates, and priorities.

  • Monitor team performance throughout the day and provide real-time coaching, feedback, and support.

  • Ensure team members consistently follow Club grooming, uniform, attendance, service, and operational standards.

  • Assist with training and onboarding new Spa & Locker Room Attendants.

  • Identify training opportunities and communicate performance concerns to the Spa Manager.

  • Foster a positive, respectful, accountable, and collaborative team environment.

  • Serve as the primary point of support for the team when the Spa Manager is unavailable.

Spa & Locker Room Operations
  • Oversee the daily operation and presentation of the Spa, Ladies Locker Room, reception area, lounges, treatment rooms, showers, restrooms, vanities, and outdoor relaxation areas.

  • Conduct routine walkthroughs to ensure all areas consistently meet luxury hospitality standards.

  • Ensure towels, robes, sandals, toiletries, beverages, water stations, amenities, lockers, and Spa supplies remain fully stocked throughout the day.

  • Ensure treatment rooms are properly prepared, turned over, stocked, and guest-ready between services.

  • Monitor linen levels and coordinate the organization, collection, and replenishment of clean and soiled linens.

  • Ensure locker assignments, amenities, special requests, and Member preparations are completed prior to arrivals.

  • Monitor treatment schedules and Spa activity to anticipate operational needs and prevent service delays.

  • Coordinate with Spa Coordinator and Spa Providers to ensure appointments remain on schedule.

  • Identify and report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, and facility needs promptly.

  • Follow through on operational concerns to ensure timely resolution.

Spa Coordinator & Scheduling Support
  • Support Spa Coordinator with daily scheduling, Member communication, appointment changes, and operational needs.

  • Assist with answering phones, emails, texts, Member inquiries, and appointment requests during high-volume periods.

  • Assist with waitlists, cancellations, appointment adjustments, and last-minute Member requests.

  • Help maximize Spa Provider schedules and treatment room utilization while protecting the Member experience.

  • Learn and effectively utilize TEI and all Spa operating systems.

  • Support the Well-Being Clinic with scheduling, billing, and Member communication as needed.

  • Ensure accurate communication between Spa Coordinator, Locker Room Attendants, Spa Providers, and management.

Juice Bar & Lounge Operations
  • Oversee the daily operation and presentation of the Ladies Lounge juice and smoothie bar.

  • Ensure smoothies, fresh juices, coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and food service are prepared and delivered according to Club standards.

  • Monitor food and beverage presentation, cleanliness, organization, and service throughout the day.

  • Ensure beverage stations, refreshments, and lounge amenities remain fully stocked.

  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.

  • Ensure all food and beverage areas comply with applicable health, sanitation, and safety standards.

  • Partner with the Spa Manager to identify operational improvements and facility needs.

Team Collaboration
  • Serve as a liaison between the Spa Manager, Spa Coordinator, Locker Room Attendants, Spa Providers, Well-Being Clinic, and Members.

  • Communicate Member arrivals, preferences, special requests, schedule updates, and operational changes clearly and professionally.

  • Work closely with Spa Providers to support treatment room turnovers and maintain efficient appointment flow.

  • Collaborate with other Club departments to support Member requests, special events, tournaments, and wellness programming.
