Job description

Description
Lagoon Ranch RV Resort is hiring - Seasonal Part time Housekeeping Attendant!
Season: April 1st - September 1st
Looking for a perfect role to showcase your talent and passion for outdoor hospitality? This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, an eye for cleanliness, and promoting a positive guest experience. Join our team at this magnificent new property on Lake Livingston, which includes more than 200 sites and 26 custom built cottages.
Property conveniently located on Lake Livingston, one hour North of Houston.
The Resort Housekeeping Attendant is the guardian of our resort's first impression. You are responsible for transforming our facilities, communal spaces, and vacation rentals into pristine, welcoming retreats. By maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and aesthetics, you ensure our guests feel "at home" the moment they pull into their site or step into a cottage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Creating the "Wow" Factor: Curates a welcoming environment for guests by ensuring all vacation rental units and communal spaces are flawlessly cleaned, staged, and ready for arrival.
  • Comprehensive Facility Care: Meticulously sanitizes high-traffic resort buildings including luxury bathhouses, guest laundry facilities, the clubhouse, and the retail store. This includes advanced floor care (buffing, waxing, and disinfecting) and ensuring all surfaces-from high-touch countertops to window panes-are streak-free and sparkling.
  • Vacation Rental Stewardship: Performs deep-cleaning of rental cottages/units, including sleeping quarters, kitchens, and living areas. Specific attention is given to appliance sanitation (ensuring units are free of debris, mold, and odors) and defrosting freezers to maintain longevity and hygiene.
  • Detail-Oriented Inspections: Conducts thorough departure "turnover" inspections. You act as the eyes and ears of the resort, documenting any missing inventory or damaged assets and reporting maintenance needs immediately to the Guest Services team.
  • Textile Management: Operates industrial and household laundry equipment to process linens, blankets, and soft goods, ensuring they meet the resort's standards for softness, cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Safety & Chemical Oversight: Expertly handles cleaning chemicals and equipment according to OSHA and resort safety standards. Proactively identifies and reports potential hazards, defective equipment, or guest safety concerns to management.
  • Resort Ambassadorship: Maintains a professional, "stage-ready" appearance of all public areas. This includes managing the transition between indoor and outdoor spaces (sweeping entryways, tidying porch furniture) to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Operational Flexibility: Demonstrates a team-player mindset by maintaining a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to support the resort during peak travel seasons.

Physical Requirements & Environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Comfort working in varied weather conditions as you move between resort buildings and rental units.
  • Capability to operate a resort golf cart or utility vehicle for efficient transport of supplies across the property.

Schedule & Compensation:
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Seasonal Full time (April 1st - September 1st)
• $14.00/hour
• Discounted site rent
• Associate discounts and more!
Pay Range
