About Hope Ranch Learning Academy: Hope Ranch Learning Academy is a private Christian school in Hudson, Florida, beautifully set on a horse ranch. For over 20 years, we have dedicated ourselves to serving the unique needs of students with Autism and other unique abilities. As a rapidly growing institution, we are seeking vibrant, innovative, and experienced Instructional Assistants to support our elementary students.
Position Overview: As an Instructional Assistant at Hope Ranch Learning Academy, you will play a vital role in assisting classroom instruction, supporting the Lead Teacher, and nurturing the growth of our students. Our classrooms are intentionally small, with no more than 15 students, to provide individualized attention and support.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Assistance: Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, ensuring they are creative, engaging, and tailored to both class and individual needs.
  • Individualized Support: Provide personalized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them maximize their potential.
  • Student Supervision: Supervise students during various school activities, including lunch, recess, and school outings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Behavior Management: Assist in managing student behavior, maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Teacher, school administration, and special education staff to implement effective academic support plans.
  • Record Keeping: Help maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance, and contribute to progress monitoring.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's Degree (REQUIRED).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching or classroom support experience (REQUIRED).
  • Special Education Experience: Experience working with students with special needs (Preferred).
  • Christian School Environment: Comfortable participating in a Christian private school setting.
  • Additional Requirements: Current and valid driver's license, experience in classroom management and behavior modification techniques, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Compliance: Must be able to provide proof of degree(s) and/or certification(s) and pass a Level 2 Background Clearance.

Our non-Denominational Christian Private School is set on a wooded horse ranch, and we focus on students with Autism and other learning disabilities. We use innovative teaching and classroom management techniques which include the Teaching Family Model and horse interaction as part of the academic experience.Classrooms consist of 1 Lead Teacher, 1-2 Teaching Assistants and a maximum of 15 students. The Elementary classroom has a 5:1 Student to Instructor ratio and our Middle and High School Classroom has a max of 8:1 Student to Instructor ratio.
