Job description

Organic Farmer / GardenerCome Get Your Hands Dirty at Sorrel
Sorrel River Ranch is a Four-Diamond luxury guest ranch tucked along the Colorado River, surrounded by towering red-rock cliffs, wide-open skies, and 240 acres of incredible Southern Utah landscape.
And yes-we have a garden. A big one.
Our organic farm and garden help supply fresh, seasonal produce to the restaurant and mercantile while giving our guests a chance to experience a little hands-on ranch life. We believe good food starts with healthy soil, happy plants, and people who genuinely care about what they're growing.
If you'd rather spend your day outside than behind a desk, enjoy getting your hands dirty, and want to learn more about organic farming and permaculture, we'd love to have you join the team. What You'll Be Doing
  • Planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, and caring for our crops.
  • Helping care for our orchard, greenhouse, and growing spaces.
  • Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting irrigation.
  • Building compost and helping improve soil health.
  • Learning and practicing permaculture and organic growing techniques.
  • Keeping our garden productive, healthy, and beautiful.
  • Helping create fun farm and garden experiences for our guests.
  • Pitching in with the team when something needs to get done.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
  • Curious and eager to learn.
  • Hardworking and not afraid to get a little dirty.
  • Passionate about plants, food, farming, or the environment.
  • Positive, dependable, and good at solving problems.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Friendly and comfortable interacting with guests.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ready to work outdoors and enjoy the Moab sunshine, seasons, and everything that comes with them.

Organic farming or gardening experience is a plus. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but we care just as much about your attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn. Why Sorrel?
Because your office might be a field.
Your lunch might come from something you just harvested.
Your coworkers might be chefs, guides, ranchers, gardeners, and adventurers.
And when you need a break, there's a river and some pretty spectacular red rocks waiting for you.
$15/hour
Shared housing available at minimal cost
Benefits eligible after 6 months
Farm-fresh produce
If you're ready to trade the cubicle for the garden and want to be part of something a little different, come grow with us.
Limited rental housing may be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Only applicants selected for interviews will be contacted. Applicants must already have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
