This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring our products are represented by partners who share our commitment to quality.
Working closely with leadership and operations, you'll engage directly with butchers, specialty retailers, distributors, and select foodservice partners. Success in this role requires balancing sales growth with operational realities, maintaining pricing integrity, and building long-term customer relationships.

  • Generate and manage a sales pipeline, from prospecting through contract execution.
  • Expand revenue within existing accounts through strategic account development.
  • Serve as a primary commercial representative of Slickhorn Ranch in customer conversations.
  • Collaborate with operations to align sales activity with inventory, production schedules, and lead times.
  • Maintain pricing discipline and uphold brand standards across all customer channels.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to build relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide market insight on customer demand, pricing trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
  • Support leadership with field feedback that informs production planning and growth strategy.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing experience.
  • Demonstrated success generating new business and growing revenue.
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and driving opportunities to close.
  • Ability to balance customer needs with operational and supply constraints.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling food, protein, agriculture, or other perishable products.
  • Existing relationships within foodservice, specialty retail, butcher, grocery, or distribution channels.
  • Familiarity with wholesale sales environments and distributor partnerships.
  • Passion for premium food products and relationship-driven selling.
Benefits
  • HSA-eligible health plan
  • Dental insurance with orthodontic coverage
  • Vision insurance
  • Basic life insurance
  • Short-term and long-term disability options
  • Company-matched 401(k)
  • Paid maternity and paternity leave
  • Onsite fitness center
