Job description

The Technical SEO/GEO Manager is a critical member of the SEO and website operations team, responsible for ensuring our brand websites are technically sound, measurably performant, and positioned to win in both traditional search and emerging AI-powered search experiences. This role leads Authority Brands’ readiness for an AI-first search landscape, working across all brands to establish and execute a forward-thinking technical SEO strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts ongoing technical SEO audits across all consumer brand websites, ensuring key content is accessible to search bots and AI crawlers by identifying and prioritizing issues related to crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking and sitemaps.
  • Owns the implementation and ongoing maintenance of structured data and schema markup (LocalBusiness, FAQPage, Review, Service, BreadcrumbList, etc.) to maximize rich result eligibility and AI citation opportunities.
  • Monitors and reports on brand visibility and leads across both traditional organic search and AI-generated responses (ChatGPT, Google’s AI Mode, Gemini, etc.); establishes frameworks for tracking AI share of voice and brand representation across LLMs.
  • Serves as the internal authority on AI search readiness, monitoring evolving AI search behavior, algorithm changes, and platform updates, and guiding the organization’s transition to an AI-first search strategy.
  • Partners with content teams and website partners to ensure copy is structured for human readers, SEO best practices, and AI comprehension, with attention to entity clarity, authoritative sourcing, and answer-ready formatting.
  • Oversees Core Web Vitals and page experience signals; partners with web development teams to drive measurable improvements in Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), and Interaction to Next Paint (INP).
  • Manages Google Tag Manager and website tagging infrastructure; coordinates with web development and analytics teams on tagging standards, QA processes, and analytics configuration across brand teams to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Manages Data Studio reports and shares them with brand teams monthly, configuring data sources to track SEO and AI search performance; analyzes and visualizes the data to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks and translates insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Serves as the in-house subject matter expert for technical SEO, website tracking, and AI search readiness, partnering with brand marketing teams and website partners to develop and maintain a roadmap for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of technical SEO experience
  • Familiarity with AI search platforms and emerging optimization techniques
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Data Studio.
  • Proficient in Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Copilot or Claude
  • Franchise and/or home service marketing experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and results-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
