Job description

The AI SEO & GEO Specialist works to support SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and AI Search Optimization (AISO) initiatives. This role focuses on executing and optimizing programs that improve discoverability across traditional search engines and AI-driven answer platforms, while supporting business growth through organic visibility, citation performance, and actionable insights.
Core Focus Areas
  • Traditional SEO, GEO, AEO, and AI search optimization
  • AI-driven discovery, citation, and answer visibility across platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews
  • Structured, semantic, and entity-based content optimization for AI comprehension
  • Performance measurement, experimentation, and reporting across organic and AI visibility channels

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute on strategy to support SEO, GEO, AEO, and AISO initiatives that improve visibility across traditional search and AI-generated search experiences.
  • Serve as consultative expert for content production teams to ensure website content is optimized for search and AI-driven discoverability, citation and summarization.
  • Apply structured, semantic, and question-led content approaches that improve extractability, clarity, and topical authority.
  • Support technical optimization efforts including structured data, schema, internal linking, and other best practices that enhance search and AI visibility.
  • Track, analyze, and report on organic search performance, AI visibility, share of voice, citations, and related KPIs; turn findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, product, analytics, and technical teams to prioritize work, communicate status, and support execution.
  • Collaborate with other divisional SEO/GEO leads to share best practices and ensure coverage for contingency purposes.
  • Proactively stay abreast of ever changing LLM environment.
  • Identify opportunities, risks, and experiments related to search and AI visibility, escalating issues and sharing learnings with stakeholders as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Who we're looking for:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 2-3 years of related SEO, digital marketing, content optimization, or search strategy experience.
  • Foundational knowledge of SEO principles, analytics, and content optimization best practices.
  • Working familiarity with tools such as Google Search Console, Conductor, Screaming Frog and other similar platforms.
  • Understanding of structured content, schema, semantic search, and AI-readable content best practices.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred skills and experience:
  • Experience with GEO, AEO, LLM-focused SEO, or AI visibility initiatives.
  • Exposure to technical SEO concepts such as crawlability, indexing, structured data, content architecture, core web vitals and performance.
  • Familiarity with NLP concepts, entity optimization, topical authority building, and prompt-led content strategies.
  • Experience in SaaS, software services, technology, or other fast-evolving digital industries is a plus.
  • Interest in experimentation, testing, and developing new metrics for AI search performance.
  • Understanding of Adobe Experience Manager.

Additional information:
This is a hybrid position based in Malvern, PA, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays and in-office collaboration Tuesday through Thursday.
