The Sales Manager at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Sales team supporting a district, the sales development of accounts, and team members assigned to the territory. This position manages Sales Representatives, develops key accounts, increases profitability, and exceeds customer expectations and is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, has strong interpersonal skills, and is a strategic thinker.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales Performance Management
    • Meet or exceed annual sales and profit targets as established by company guidelines.
    • Manage customer base to achieve targeted D & F percentage.
    • Understand and take advantage of competitor’s strengths and weaknesses.
    • Monitor and enforce policies, procedures, and service standards for the department, meeting company-defined standards and maximizing customer satisfaction.
  2. Leadership and Team Development
    • Provide training to the Sales Team, as needed.
    • Encourage and motivate team members to strive for higher levels of achievement, maintaining consistent leadership, training, and coaching.
    • Supervise and direct the sales team to ensure individual and department goals are met.
    • Collaborate with Representatives to identify opportunities for generating new customers and expanding product lines within existing retail accounts. 
  3. Customer Relationship Management
    • Evaluate all inactive accounts to identify opportunities for reassignment and growth.
    • Conduct comprehensive customer business reviews to identify areas for improvement and increased sales.
    • Ensure timely communication of any relevant enhancements to promotions, programs, policies, and procedures to team members.
    • Provide support for related marketing programs as required, contributing to the overall success of promotional efforts.
  4. Administration and Reporting
    • Attend weekly meetings with the Accounts Receivable (A/R) team to analyze accounts overdue for payment terms.
    • Analyze daily sales reports to identify opportunities for improving margins or specific line-item sales.
    • Report variances with corrective actions to the sales manager and sales supervisor once per period.
    • Monitor, manage, and track sales, margins, expenses, and overall sales results for the branch.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What you bring to Pacific Seafood
Education and Experience
  • Required
    • Minimum of three years in the food industry
    • Minimum of three years of experience directly managing a sales team
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Preferred
    • Experience leading a specialty meat and seafood sales force
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field
    • Data Analysis - Cube Reporting
    • Bilingual
Physical Requirements

  • Capable of perceiving visuals for activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, and engaging in extensive reading.
