Working behind a seafood display case, a clerk will greet guests and help them select the best seafood product for their needs. After selection, the clerk will weigh, wrap, and price the item.
Pay range:
$17.80-$19.00
Do you have a friendly personality; enjoy meeting and interacting with people and love seafood?
We are currently looking for Seafood Clerks to join our team at our cafe in the city of Santa Monica, working behind our seafood counter. We are looking for highly energetic, motivated individuals that will provide efficient and courteous service. Our Seafood Clerks should be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills since working the customer counter is a primary responsibility!
Your duties as a Seafood Clerk will include:
  • Helping our customers in selecting the best seafood products
  • Help maintain an attractive seafood display case
  • Select, wrap, weigh, and price items
  • Encourage customers to sample our products
  • Discuss our other line of products (sauces, marinades, etc.) in an effort to upsell
  • Advise customers on seafood safety handling
  • Follow all department procedures
    Job Requirements:
  • Previous customer service experience in a grocery/retail environment a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers
  • General seafood knowledge is preferred but we are always willing to train the right candidate
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays.)
