Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers. They are the first point of contact for inbound and outbound leads, enabling strong sales engagement and building the foundation for strong relationships with future clients.

This is a quota-assigned, dynamic, fast-paced role suited for eager and motivated individuals with strong communication skills, curiosity, and a drive to exceed targets. This is a strategic role for both new and existing customer engagements and pipeline development to drive growth of SaaS license sales. The SDR activity is considered part of the high-velocity sales team. The primary customer industries include aerospace and defense (A&D), Life Science, Healthcare markets.

Basic Qualifications:

You meet our "must haves" for this role if:

  • Qualify leads generated by marketing team and assess potential fit based on defined criteria.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by managing and tracking all activities in HubSpot.
  • Proactively research and engage prospective customers through calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach channels.
  • Schedule discovery calls and product demos for Account Executives.
  • Collaborating with marketing to convert campaign-generated leads into qualified opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to marketing and sales teams based on conversations with prospects.
  • Generate leads through outbound sales activities and leverage sales prospecting tools for company profile, individual profile, and target marketing.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and product knowledge to effectively articulate the value proposition.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly performance metrics (qualified meetings, pipeline contribution)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales or business development role (B2B SaaS experience preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable making calls and conducting outreach via multiple channels.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools (HubSpot).
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and resilience in a target-driven environment.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Location: Hybrid(3x/week) Herndon VA
