Understanding these differences helps employers and candidates align expectations and career paths.

What are some common challenges SDRs face when prospecting new leads, and how can they overcome them?

Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) often encounter challenges such as reaching decision-makers, handling gatekeepers, and overcoming initial skepticism from prospects. To address these, SDRs can research target companies thoroughly, personalize outreach messages, and use multiple channels (email, phone, social media) to increase their chances of connecting. Consistent follow-ups and a focus on building rapport help break through barriers and establish trust, ultimately leading to more productive conversations and qualified leads.

What is an SDR (Sales Development Representative) and what do they do?

An SDR, or Sales Development Representative, is a professional responsible for generating and qualifying sales leads for a company. Their main tasks include reaching out to potential customers, identifying their needs, and setting up meetings or demos for the sales team to close deals. SDRs often use phone calls, emails, and social media to connect with prospects and play a crucial role in the early stages of the sales process. They help increase the sales pipeline and allow account executives to focus on closing deals. This position is common in business-to-business (B2B) sales environments, especially in technology and SaaS companies.

What jobs pay $10,000 a month without a degree?

Sales development representative (SDR) roles can potentially pay $10,000 a month through base salary and commissions, especially in high-demand industries like technology or software sales. Success in such roles often depends on strong communication skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to generate leads, with many positions offering performance-based incentives that can significantly increase earnings.

Can you make 300K in tech sales?

Sdr (Sales Development Representative) roles typically have lower base salaries and commissions, making a 300K annual income uncommon at this level. Achieving such earnings usually requires advanced sales positions, extensive experience, or high-performance in roles with aggressive commission structures and target markets.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), and why are they important?

To thrive as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you need strong communication skills, persistence, and a basic understanding of sales principles, often supported by a bachelor's degree or relevant experience. Familiarity with CRM platforms like Salesforce, email outreach tools, and sales automation systems is commonly required. Outstanding SDRs excel at active listening, resilience, and building rapport quickly with prospects. These skills are crucial for efficiently qualifying leads and driving revenue growth in a competitive sales environment.

Job description

Description
Location: We are looking to hire US/Canadian nationals/residents. We will not be able to extend an offer to people residing in countries outside the US/Canada. Please only apply if the above relates to you
About BNB Investor Academy:

We help investors turn short-term rentals into real cash flow in 90 days or less. Not theory. Not “someday.” Ninety days. Once they’ve got a performing property and they’re seeing consistent cash flow, we look to move them into our backend Boardroom Offer. That’s where we go deeper on maximising revenue, tightening operations, and expanding their investment portfolio inside the short-term rental space.

On the sales side, we're not a startup figuring it out. We’ve got a 17 member team across Setters, Closers, and Sales Managers as well as a CRO. Systems are dialled in, producing, and ready to grow, and we have a fully built out infrastructure. No "go figure it out and build from scratch" here. Also, feel free to check out our CEO's LinkedIn, landing page & reviews to get a sense of the business we operate (links below) and standards we hold

Now we’re looking for the next killer remote high-ticket Setter who wants to plug into a real machine and scale with a team that’s already moving.

  • Landing Page & Testimonials
  • Trust Pilot Reviews
  • CEO's LinkedIn
  • Current Setter Testimonials: (see what the current team think/feel!)

    • Nando
Compensation:
  • Base Salary:
    • No base, although there is a $3k/mo draw for first 60 days
  • Commission:
    • $500 per set (Set/closes 1-5)
    • $600 per set (Set/closes 6-10)
    • $700 per set (Set/closes 11+)
    • Paid upon closes, doesn’t matter if payment plan or PIF
  • Minimum On Track Earnings:
    • 5 sets per day / 100 per month
    • 65% Show Rate = 65 live calls/month
    • 10% set → close ratio = 6-7 closes/mo
    • $500-700 commission per unit
    • $4,000-$6,000 commission per month whilst ramping
  • Potential On Track Earnings:
    • 5 sets per day / 100 per month
    • 75% Show Rate = 75 live calls/month
    • 15-20% set → close ratio = 11-15 closes/mo
    • $500-700 commission per unit
    • $6,300-$8,700 commission per month
  • Timezone/Working Hrs:
    • This is a full time, 8 hours / day position with breaks.
      • 8am-5pm US Timezone
Growth Opportunity:
Role Growth - Ability for seasoned and serious Appointment Setters to grow into a Closing role once they’ve achieved consistent and sustainable results over a prolonged period

Role Sustainability - This offer is a premium, exceptionally reviewed offer, and seen as a pioneer within its niche. Combining this with a well-established team (16 person sales team), with seasoned and tenured management, this is a genuine opportunity for Closers seeking tenure, real systems, longevity and quality income opportunity
Course Access - The person we hire will have the ability to go through the education and modules in the BNB Investor Academy and can learn how to benefit and profit from accessing investment opportunities in the short-term rental space
Intentional Support - Full access to daily Sales Team Trainings & Huddles, as well as 1on1 access to a seasoned Setter Manager, supporting you as you grow within the role
Why are we Hiring?

We’re hiring a seasoned, polished Setter who knows how to move revenue, understands HT frameworks/sales processes, not just booking anyone on the calendar

Right now we’re at $700k-$1M per month. The target is $2M per month. That kind of jump doesn’t happen with average performance. It takes someone who understands pipeline, qualification, and how to qualify prospects up properly before they ever speak to a Closer.
We're scaling up Ads, spending north of 6 figures a month and we have a lot of demand, lead flow, and pre-qualification processes in place before a prospect gets on the setter's calendar, let alone the closer calendar.

As the first touchpoint in our Client Journey, you set the tone. You’re the filter and the standard. The long-term objective is to get 1,000 people inside our back-end Board Room Offer (Boardroom Event). Hitting that means consistently bringing in qualified buyers that meet our standards and creating enough trust and momentum so that stepping into the back-end community feels like the obvious next move.
If you want to plug into a proven offer, strong delivery, and a team that’s already producing at scale reach out and apply. We would love to see what you bring to the table.
