This is how you will grow:

Focus: VASS6 Standards, PLC/Robotics, SDMS, and Fastening Tools.

Role Overview

The Automation Planning Support specialist ensures that all assembly equipment and fastening tools are programmed, integrated, and commissioned according to the VASS V6 standard. You will bridge the gap between process planning and physical site implementation, ensuring signal integrity and control logic compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • VASS6 Compliance: Review construction statuses and control concepts to ensure 100% alignment with VASS V6 standards.
  • Commissioning (VIBN): Support virtual and physical commissioning for new and existing systems based on established programming logic.
  • Technical Examination: Audit hardware plans, control cabinet structures, PLC logic, and robot archives using provided testing tools.
  • SDMS & Fastening: Manage the SDMS system functionality, coordinating the integration of fastening tools and automated stations.
  • Interface Mapping: Support data/signal mapping between equipment and plant systems (SCADA/MES), including error handling and diagnostics.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Expert-level knowledge of VASS6, PLCs (Siemens TIA Portal), and Industrial Robotics.
  • System Knowledge: High proficiency in SDMS systems and plant control architecture.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in automotive final assembly automation.
  • Languages: English (Fluent); German (Native or highly proficient) is preferred due to the VASS standard origin.
