Role: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Location: Scripps Ranch, San Diego, CA

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Type: Full-Time, On-Site, Non-Exempt

Job Description

Our award-winning client is seeking a full-time Assistant Restaurant Manager to help lead the team and support daily operations at our Scripps Ranch location. If you're a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, counter-service environment (to-go and delivery only — no dine-in) and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

Lead assigned shifts, direct staff, and manage daily front- and back-of-house operations

Work side-by-side with the team on food prep, counter service, cooking, and cleaning

Assist the General Manager with inventory, purchasing, scheduling, and staff training

Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members

Help manage food costs, labor expenses, and daily financial reporting

Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health regulation compliance

Resolve guest concerns professionally and help create a welcoming experience

Step in wherever needed to support the team and restaurant success

What We're Looking For

Previous restaurant leadership and hands-on kitchen experience

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Experience supporting financials, inventory, and daily operations

Commitment to exceptional customer service and team development

Hospitality or Restaurant Management education preferred

Valid Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification (Food Handler

Card required after hire)

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays
