Job description

We are seeking outstanding New Grad Rad Techs for a full-time, 8-week paid training program. The training program will expose those hired to each Scripps hospital and several of our outpatient clinics. Upon successful completion of this program, employment will roll directly into a full-time position with the SSRS Resource Team with 12% differential pay for every hour worked (stacks with night differential).

Training will include:

  • Rotations at all 5 Scripps hospitals and 1-2 outpatient clinics
  • Preceptor-aligned
  • Evening and weekend shift orientation included
  • Educational/Q&A sessions every 2 weeks

SSRS Resource Team members are permanent Scripps employees who support the day-to-day operations of our different locations through either short-term or long-term assignments (long-term assignments are typically 12 weeks in duration).

Must be willing to float to the following 5 hospitals: Encinitas, La Jolla, Green, San Diego, and Chula Vista. Please confirm your agreement with this requirement prior to submission of your application.

This program requires that you are available to work periods of both day and night shifts.

Required Certification/ Specialized Skills:

  • CRT
  • FLUORO (MUST OBTAIN FLUORO WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF HIRE DATE)
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Completion of a formal training/educational program in an approved school of Radiology Technology
  • 1 year of clinically supervised digital and/or analog experience in an acute care (hospital) setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Licensure /Experience:

  • ARRT
  • Imaging experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Knowledge of patient focused care delivery

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to work at all Scripps Health outpatient clinics and five (5) hospital campuses: Encinitas, La Jolla, Green/Torrey Pines, Mercy San Diego, and Mercy Chula Vista.
