Job description

Position Title: SCR TECHNICIAN Location: ABILENE TXFLSA Class: NON-EXEMPTResponsible to: PRODUCT MANAGER
Position Summary: The SCR Technician I position will diagnose and repair Natural Gas Power Generation Emissions equipment. Responsible for routine inspections of selective catalytic reduction systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Promptly and accurately diagnose equipment issues and implement corrective actions as needed. Coordinate with vendors to resolve problems when necessary.
  • Catalyst loading/unloading, handling hazardous materials in confined spaces, troubleshooting SCR systems, and ensuring compliance with EPA/OSHA environmental standards.
  • Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, clean and inspect assemblies with minimal supervision.
  • Test and verify the correct operation of repairs and adjustments as needed.
  • Utilize general failure protocol and procedures to determine the proper diagnosis.
  • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite at all times.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Ability to maintain records electronically.

Other Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of how equipment and systems operate.
  • Experience with emissions, analyzers or chromatographs is a plus.
  • Schedule: 2 weeks on, 1 week off; 12-hour shifts
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Self-motivated and quick learner with the ability to work independently or as a team player.
  • Attention to detail
  • Appropriate safety equipment and practices are required.
  • The employee must possess the ability to lift 50 pounds for extended periods of certain jobs.
  • Valid Driver's License
