Library Assistant I โ€“ Public Services โ€“ La Crosse Public Library

Grow your career with us! The City of La Crosse is seeking to fill a part-time Library Assistant I โ€“ Public Services position at the La Crosse Public Library. The La Crosse Public Library provides accessible materials, engaging programs and inclusive services for the community. This position provides programming assistance and services to a broad range of clientele, with a strong emphasis on children. Duties may include in-house or external events, daily desk responsibilities, recurring activities, passive programming, and displays. Starting wage for this non-exempt position is $21.88 per hour (40 hours bi-weekly), depending on candidate qualifications.

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; three or more years' experience in a customer service or library-related field with a high level of public contact OR any combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge and skills and allows successful performance of the job. Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to work evenings and weekends and adapt to schedule changes.
