Job description

16568BRDepartment Name:HSP Central Scheduling Location:Meriter Business Center Job Description: Schedule: Mon-Fri 12:30p-4:30p

The Scheduling Assistant will coordinate the scheduling, referral management, registration, prior authorization, and insurance verification processes for patients entering the UnityPoint Health โ€“ Meriter system via the Central Scheduling Department. They will investigate and identify customer needs, reference multiple documents for scheduling guidelines all while providing exceptional customer service in a timely and efficient manner. They will use strong written communication skills to work closely with clinical department staff to schedule and reschedule appointments as needed. This position is a very fast paced call center position that requires the ability to multi-task with attention to detail and the ability to reprioritize needs based on call volumes.

*This position is primarily remote but will require 3-4 months of in-person learning as well as periodic onsite education.
