Job description

Knife River has an immediate opening for an Aggregate Scale Person based at our Tumalo office location.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Operate truck scales through computer terminal
• Answer telephones and assist customers both in person and remotely
• Collect and reconcile daily cash sales (credit card processing, etc.)
• Process end of day paperwork and transmit to office
• Assist dispatch as needed
• Drive to different jobsites within the day to provide lunch coverage and as needed
• Assist with front desk coverage and other duties as assigned
• Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
• Other duties assigned as needed
Typical Hours 6:45-3:30 M-F
Minimum Qualifications:
• Aptitude for dealing with customers, sales and problem solving
• Ability to operate a computer terminal and manage multiple tasks at the same time
• Legible handwriting, good organizational and communication skills, general math and writing skills
• Must be people oriented, able to provide exceptional customer service, empathetic and flexible
• Previous scale experience is a plus
• Knowledge of market area and previous construction experience is helpful
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test
