ob Description: Asphalt Roller Operator

An Asphalt Roller Operator is a skilled professional responsible for operating asphalt rollers to compact and smooth asphalt surfaces for parking lot construction and maintenance projects. This role is essential to achieving proper density, durability, and overall quality of the finished asphalt surface. Asphalt Roller Operators work closely with paving crews and other construction team members to ensure successful project completion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate asphalt rollers to compact freshly laid asphalt.
  • Compaction Quality: Adjust roller speed, vibration frequency, and settings to meet project specifications and achieve proper compaction.
  • Surface Inspection: Monitor asphalt surfaces for low spots, irregularities, or defects and make adjustments to produce a smooth, even finish.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with paving crews, equipment operators, and supervisors to meet project goals.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
