Job description

New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc (NESL) is looking for a Scale Clerk at our Wehrle location. The Scale Clerk is responsible for accurately weighing trucks before and after loading, generating precise ticket data, and ensuring information is properly processed for service, billing, and customer follow-up. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and basic computer proficiency.

Starting Pay: $19/hr. - Candidates with prior experience may qualify for a higher starting rate.

Scale Clerk - What Will You Do?
Operate scale to effectively weigh incoming/outgoing trucks in accordance with state laws and regulations.
Produce accurate ticket data with regard to weights to service and bills customers, both commercial and private.
Process payments and keep accurate inventory reports/billing records.
Assist quarry superintendent with administrative functions.
Represent NESL with the utmost professionalism.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience as a weighmaster, dispatcher, or in customer service preferred.
Strong customer service skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.
Ability to process payments quickly, accurately, and securely.
Proven ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexible and adaptable to meet time-sensitive deadlines under pressure.
Willing and able to work extended shifts (day, night, or weekend) as business needs require.
Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind, dusty environments).
