Electrical Apprentice

Position Summary
The Electrical Apprentice at Beasley Group is an entry-level role designed to develop hands-on skills in industrial electrical maintenance and repair within a fast-paced sawmill or manufacturing environment. This position works under the guidance of experienced electricians to support production uptime, safety, and continuous improvement of electrical systems.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across the facility
  • Support troubleshooting of electrical issues involving motors, control panels, conveyors, and automated systems
  • Learn to work with three-phase power systems, motor controls, and PLC-controlled equipment
  • Assist with running conduit, pulling wire, and wiring electrical panels
  • Read and interpret basic electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and reduce downtime
  • Follow all lockout/tagout procedures and safety policies at all times
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping standards
  • Assist in identifying root causes of equipment failures and reporting findings to senior electricians
  • Respond to production issues and support repairs in a timely manner
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required (technical training preferred)
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in industrial electrical work
