Job description

As a Sawmill Machine Operator, you will be an essential part of the production team, operating specialized equipment to process lumber efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
  • Operate sawmill machinery, including Stacker, Head Saw, Resaw, and Trim/Grading equipment
  • Inspect and grade lumber to ensure quality standards are consistently met
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on equipment as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area by following all safety protocols
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing or sawmill experience is preferred, but not required
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift

Compensation

$19–$29 per hour, based on experience
