Job description

Description:

A Laminator machine operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laminating machines to produce specific shapes from various materials. A successful operator has mechanical abilities, an enjoyment for working with their hands, strong attention to detail, and mathematical ability. This position's rate of pay starts at $16.00 plus shift differential. Monday to Friday 3:30pm to 12:00am.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read and understand job jacket to ensure you have the required materials and die needed to complete the job.
  • Set up machine aligning laminate materials and adjusting machine as needed.
  • Test a run to check the positioning is correct. Have supervisor sign off.
  • Monitor and quality of the output, performing inspections to ensure that products meet specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure they operate efficiently.
  • Complies with established safety procedures and policies.
  • Works with other departments and maintenance personnel on projects and/or validations.
  • Focuses on Continuous Improvement, Quality, Improved Cycle Times, Safety, Cost Reductions, and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and core processes.
  • Daily and timely attendance required to be successful.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift / push/ pull up to 20 lbs unassisted (or more occasionally).
  • Must be able to stand for the majority of shift – 2 hour increments.
  • Short distance walking required with rolls to be placed on shipping table.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.
  • Must be able to differentiate between color variance.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits.
  • Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and if needed, holidays and weekends.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.

Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.

· Manufacturing environment – exposure to some hazardous conditions but not limited to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. Safety regulations in place following OSHA guidelines.
