Job description

SAP MRP Consultant - Onsite1
We are seeking an experienced SAP MRP Consultant with 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SAP MRP configuration, planning strategies, demand management, and integration with Procurement, Inventory Management, and Manufacturing processes. The consultant should be capable of analyzing business requirements, designing solutions, and supporting end-to-end SAP implementations and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and support SAP MRP processes in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Configure MRP parameters, planning strategies, lot-sizing procedures, scheduling, and procurement proposals.
  • Work on Demand Management, Planned Independent Requirements (PIRs), and consumption strategies.
  • Configure and support Material Master MRP views.
  • Analyze and resolve MRP exceptions, planning issues, and system defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including MM, SD, WM/EWM, QM, and PM.
  • Support production planning, procurement, and inventory optimization initiatives.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis, solution design, testing, user training, and production support.
  • Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and coordinate with technical teams.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Participate in SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects.
Required Skills
  • 8+ years of experience in SAP PP with strong expertise in Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Hands-on experience configuring:

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Material Master configuration
  • Experience integrating SAP PP with MM, SD, WM/EWM, QM, and PM modules.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain business processes.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA MRP Live is highly preferred.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and recommend best-practice solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
  • Experience with Fiori applications related to Production Planning and MRP.
  • SAP certification in Production Planning (preferred).
  • Experience working in Agile and global delivery environments.
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of Advanced Planning (PP/DS or IBP).
  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
  • Exposure to interfaces, IDocs, and reporting tools.
  • Experience in manufacturing, automotive, pharmaceutical, consumer goods, or industrial sectors.
