Duration:                     12 Months
Shift:                            3rd Shift | 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
Work Week:                 Often 50 hours | 8–10 hours/day
Overtime/Weekends:   May be required

Description:

Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating material flow, inventory, production schedules, and material availability across multiple factory departments. The role works closely with Operations and Supply Management teams and primarily uses SAP MRP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate material flow across multiple factory departments, including shipping and receiving.
  • Ensure production teams have required parts on time.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and control inventory and direct materials.
  • Coordinate procurement, expediting, production, and delivery of materials.
  • Use the Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules.
  • Identify and resolve material shortages and inventory errors.
  • Work critical shortage reports to prevent production interruptions.
  • Find and correct root causes of material shortages.
  • Audit material replenishment cycles and inventory accuracy.
  • Manage rejected material movement back to the source.
  • Process inbound/outbound material transactions as needed.
  • Support engineering releases and change management activities.
  • May provide work direction to material handlers, stock chasers, or truckers.
  • Recommend solutions to improve material availability and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Experience in Supply Management, Operations, Manufacturing, or Logistics.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics flow.
  • Previous or current military experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • SAP/MRP experience is a plus.
  • Strong data analysis and critical-thinking skills.
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude.
  • Ambitious, motivated, and comfortable respectfully engaging with others.
  • Strong customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and push for continuous improvement.

Work Environment

  • Primarily supports Operations and Supply Management.
  • Responsible for ensuring direct materials are scheduled and available to work centers on time.
  • Must be flexible to changing business demands, overtime, and weekend work.
  • 3rd Shift: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
