We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor of SAP, EAM/FSM (SGL 35) to work in a hybrid capacity from one of our offices in Arkansas or Oklahoma, or remotely from Texas.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Supervisor of SAP, EAM/FSM, is the IT owner and leader for Summit Utilitiesโ€™ Field Service Management (FSM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platforms. Ideal candidates have a broad range of experience with FSM and SAP IS-U S/4HANA EAM, PM providing functional analysis, solution design, configuration, and implementation support to ensure efficient business processes and solutions related to asset maintenance and field service operations. This role has primary accountability for FSM architecture, roadmap, design governance, delivery quality, and long-term platform sustainability. The position leads internal SAP resources and external vendors while partnering with business leaders on FSM solution design and integration with SAP S/4HANA EAM, GIS, mobile, and other platforms. The candidate must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, team leadership, and the capacity to work in a remote collaborative environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise FSM and EAM Architecture & Platform Ownership

  • Oversee support and enhancement of SAP FSM solutions, ensuring seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA, EAM, Cloud for Customer (C4C), and other enterprise systems.
  • Supervise configuration, implementation, and maintenance of SAP EAM/PM modules, including preventive and corrective maintenance, work orders, notifications, equipment master data, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Own and enforce the enterprise FSM architecture, design principles, and platform roadmap and ensure FSM solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term enterprise architecture.
  • Stay up to date with SAP and AI advancements and recommend system enhancements, automation, and process improvements.

FSM Delivery Governance & Technical Authority

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, identify gaps, and design optimized solutions for maintenance and field service operations.
  • Govern FSM delivery across internal teams and vendors.
  • Approve FSM designs, configurations, and release readiness.
  • Function as escalation authority for complex FSM defects and integration conflicts.

Vendor Management & Delivery Oversight

  • Function as IT product owner for FSM system integrators and vendors.
  • Define architectural standards and delivery expectations within Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Review vendor deliverables and validate compliance with FSM platform standards.
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer and overall reduced vendor dependency long term.

People Leadership & Capability Development

  • Supervise and develop SAP FSM/EAM analysts.
  • Establish clear design ownership boundaries and technical accountability.
  • Coach team members on FSM architecture, design quality, and risk management.

SAP and IT Architectural Alignment (Supporting)

  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure data consistency, integration with GIS, mobile solutions, and other external applications.

Testing, Governance & Platform Integrity

  • Oversee system testing (unit, integration, and UAT), functional documentation, and mapping to business process documentation.
  • Own FSM change governance, testing standards, and release sign-off.
  • Ensure UAT validates end-to-end field execution scenarios.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Engineering is preferred or combination of education and equivalent experience.
  • 2+ yearsโ€™ experience in SAP Plant Maintenance, Asset Management, Customer Service, and integration with other EAM applications.
  • 3+ yearsโ€™ experience with configuration, implementation, and integration of FSM Planning & Dispatching, FSM Mobile and FSM Smartform products
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Fiori apps, and mobile solutions for FSM/EAM.
  • Experience with collaborating and managing SAP and FSM product vendors and other third-party solutions.
  • 2+ yearsโ€™ experience with large scale SAP S/4HANA design, implementation, and support.
  • Experience deploying SAP in the cloud preferably on Azure or AWS a plus.
  • Experience or knowledge with SAP Private Cloud Edition (PCE) is a plus.
  • SAP FSM and/or EAM/PM certification is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Strong functional expertise in SAP FSM and EAM/PM modules. Utility sector experience preferred.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with FSM Planning & Dispatching, FSM Mobile, SAP configuration, master data management, and reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Excellent team leadership, stakeholder management, and vendor management skills
  • Influencer resulting in a trusted advisor relationship between IT and the business.
  • Robust presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects and priorities.
  • Not afraid to fail but always has a plan to remediate a failure.
