Job description

Fabri-Quilt is seeking a full-time Fabric Cutter who is motivated, dependable, has exceptional organization skills, is detail-oriented, and has excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be working closely with the production manager on cutting material and preparing shipments for distribution.
Responsibilities:
  • Reads cutting requirements to define job specifications.
  • Position the fabric onto the table and start the cutting machine to cut out the required pieces.
  • Load correct pattern and enter cutting codes into the computer to be cut accordingly.
  • Monitors operation of cutting machine to detect malfunctions and informs supervisor of problems.
  • Assemble fabric samples.
  • Organize projects for distribution.
  • Pick and ship orders.

Qualifications/Skills:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience working with fabric auto-cutter in a production setting
  • Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Results and deadline-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Must know how to read a tape measure
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Education:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Physical Abilities:
  • Standing/walking/bending required up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, occasionally
  • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects

Pay Range: $16 per hour
