Job description

Title: PACKER (PHOTO LAB), PART-TIME Location: United States-Illinois-Great Lakes Job Number: 260001MP Job Summary: Responsible for cutting rolls of recruit portraits and packing them along with other items ordered such as frames into boxes for pick-up delivery or mailing. Duties and Responsibilities: Visually checks prints for quality of color density etc. and returns faulty prints for reprinting or spotting.

- Places rolls of color prints paper on a spool holder and manually cuts each print following established procedures. Maintains portraits in order printed. - Assembles boxes and packing supplies to be used for packing portraits to be mailed or picked up by customers.

- Verifies customer request against orders completed for accuracy. Packs order in plastic covers and boxes following established procedures. Pulls orders that require framiming or additional prints.

- Maintains lising of orders that require framing reprints or additional prints so as to answer questions concerning delayed or missing orders. - Forwards company order to appropriate locations depending on delivery pick-up or mailing as requested by customers. - Performs other related duties as assigned.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE Must be able to use manual paper cutter. Must have knowledge of wrapping and cushioning methods so as to protect items being packed. Incumbent must have knowledge of order slip and packing document so as to verify that order was completed correctly.

RESPONSIBILITY Works under the general supervision of a designated supervisor who provides instructions as to procedures and priorities. Incumbent is relied upon to control work operations and accomplish adequate quantity and quality of work. Work is reviewed in terms of accuracy neatness and compliance with instructions.

PHYSICAL EFFORT Performs work on hard surfaces and in areas that require associates to stand stoop bend and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. May lift and carry boxes and or supplies that weigh up to 40 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is generally done inside in areas that are well lighted heated and ventilated.

Incumbent is frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts scrapes and bruises Qualifications: GENERAL EXPERIENCE 6 months responsible experience in clerical office mail room or retail sales store work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily in the position to be filled. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE Graduation from a full 4 year or senior high school or possession of a General Education Development High School Equivalency Certificate GED may be substituted for the experience requirements. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1.
