Job description

Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay rate: $18.00

Key Responsibilities
Sample Construction & Technical Execution
  • Construct pillow samples using the described shell sizes, shell samples, fill descriptions, fill weights and closure types.
  • Interpret written and/or verbal instructions to ensure accurate sample execution.
  • Stuff, sew and package pillow samples using appropriate machinery and hand tools.
  • Ensure all samples meet company quality, safety, and workmanship standards.
  • Maintain organized records of sample shipments that are received and shipped out to team members and/or 3rd party testing labs
CrossFunctional Collaboration
  • Communicate with fellow plants when materials, trims, or equipment resources are not available locally and coordinate to ensure sample needs are fully realized.
  • Support Quality by coordinating directly with the Quality team regarding testing samples and ensuring compliance with performance and safety requirements.
  • Assist Product Development, Sales, and Production teams with customer samples, photo samples, sales samples, and PP (preproduction) samples.
Continuous Improvement & Training
  • Recommend improvements to samplemaking processes, tools, and workflows in collaboration with Product Development, manufacturing plants, and Compliance.
  • Train other staff members in samplemaking techniques during peak sample periods or in the absence of team members.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant sample room environment.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in sewing or sample making, preferably in home textiles or pillow manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, pillow construction, and fill materials (polyfill, foam, down alternative, etc.).
  • Ability to operate industrial sewing machines and basic cutting equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to read and follow specifications, measurements, and technical documentation.
  • Strong timemanagement skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with PD, QC, and production teams.
  • Basic email and communication skills (in English) for crossteam coordination.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials or samples up to 20 lbs
  • Manual dexterity to handle fabrics, tools, and machinery.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing or sample room environment.
  • Exposure to sewing equipment, cutting tools, and textile materials.
