What is SalesRabbit?

SalesRabbit is a mobile sales enablement platform designed to help field sales teams manage leads, track performance, and optimize their sales processes. The software provides tools for lead management, territory mapping, digital forms, and real-time reporting, making it easier for sales reps to organize their workflow and close more deals. SalesRabbit is commonly used by door-to-door sales teams in industries like solar, pest control, and home security to improve efficiency and boost sales productivity.

What are some common challenges SalesRabbit users face when transitioning from traditional sales methods to digital field sales management?

Salesrabbit users often encounter challenges such as adapting to new digital workflows, learning to effectively use mobile and web-based tools in the field, and ensuring all team members are consistently updating data in real-time. It can also be an adjustment to shift from paper-based tracking to leveraging features like territory mapping, lead management, and instant communication within the app. However, most teams find that with proper onboarding and ongoing training, these challenges can be quickly overcome, resulting in greater efficiency and improved sales performance.

Job description

Door-to-Door Sales Representative (Fiber Internet Services)

Who We Are

Benton Triage is a trusted, reliable, and reputable leader in aerial and underground FTTH/FTTP construction. With over 20 years of experience building and maintaining fiber optic and legacy communication systems, our dedicated, expertly led teams deliver exceptional quality, safety, and customer service. We partner with many of the nation’s largest MSOs across urban, rural, and diverse markets nationwide.

Position Summary

The Door-to-Door Sales Representative promotes high-speed internet and related services directly to residential customers. This role involves canvassing assigned neighborhoods, engaging prospective customers, educating homeowners about available services, and closing sales.

This is a flexible, performance-driven field sales opportunity. Representatives create their own schedules, with most selling activity taking place during evenings and weekends when customers are typically home. This position may be suitable for someone seeking a flexible sales opportunity rather than a traditional 40-hour-per-week schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct door-to-door sales activities within assigned residential territories
  • Generate new customers through direct, face-to-face sales
  • Educate homeowners and residents on available fiber internet and related services
  • Clearly explain pricing, promotions, service features, and available options
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Meet or exceed the monthly sales goal of 30 sales
  • Accurately complete and submit sales orders and required documentation
  • Track door knocks, leads, and sales activity using SalesRabbit
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the company
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable local regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation

  • $3,000 - $4,500 per month, based on sales performance
  • Performance-driven compensation with a target of 30 sales per month
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to create your own work schedule
  • Most sales activity will take place during evenings and weekends
  • This is not necessarily a 40-hour-per-week position; representatives are expected to manage their schedule to achieve sales goals

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous sales experience preferred; training will be provided
  • Door-to-door, outside sales, or field sales experience strongly preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Acceptable driving record required
  • Reliable personal vehicle required for use in the field
  • Personal vehicle mileage is not reimbursed
  • Personal smartphone required
  • Must have access to the technology needed to perform the job, including a smartphone for SalesRabbit and other company applications

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Persuasive and customer-focused approach
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage your own schedule and time effectively
  • Comfortable with rejection and repeated face-to-face customer interactions
  • Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods
  • Basic technology skills and ability to use mobile applications
  • Ability to consistently track door knocks, leads, and sales activity using SalesRabbit
  • Telecommunications, internet, or fiber sales experience is a plus

Competencies

  • Persuasive communication and negotiation skills
  • Resilience and ability to handle rejection
  • Customer-focused approach
  • Goal-oriented and competitive mindset
  • Self-motivation and accountability
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced field environment

Work Environment

  • Primarily outdoors in residential neighborhoods
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions
  • Extensive walking and standing throughout the workday
  • Primarily evening and weekend sales activity
  • Flexible schedule created by the representative based on customer availability
  • Must consistently meet the required 30 sales per month goal
