Job description

Join a Team Where Growth, Impact, and Excellence Drive Everything We Do
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
The Outside Sales Representative will, first and foremost, live out our core values while playing a key role in acquiring new customers and ensuring that every customer loves us.
Our ideal candidate has Sales DNA-they were born for this role. This means having natural abilities that can't be taught, combined with the skills that can be developed through training, effort, and experience.
Key Skills for Success:
  • Self-starting - You take initiative and don't wait for opportunities to come to you.
  • Competitive: You love to win, and you find ways to win.
  • Resilience: When you hear no, which will happen often, you bounce back with determination.
  • Interpersonal skills - You know how to connect with people, build trust, and maintain relationships.
  • Personal accountability - You take ownership of results and are always striving for improvement.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: find the majority of your own leads. Be comfortable prospecting, networking and relationship building. Be creative in finding ways of reaching new prospects. If you already have an existing network you can lean on, you will have a big leg up.
  • Prequalifying the Opportunity: Not every opportunity will be a good fit, and not every prospect is our ideal customer. You will have to determine what opportunities are worth both our and the prospect's time. Our estimates are free, but they aren't cheap.
  • Solution Selling: You will identify the customer's specific problems and tailor the solution to address those issues. We're rarely the cheapest price, but we're usually the best value. (Familiarity with Baseline Selling, Sandler Sales, and/or the Challenger Sale will be very helpful).
  • Develop existing relationships: Once you have an account, meet with them periodically to make sure they love us, make sure we're capturing all of their business, and asking for referrals.
  • Be comfortable in difficult customer conversations - Navigating challenges while maintaining strong relationships.

This simple framework helps our team remember what we stand for, ensuring that our values are not just words but actions we live by every day.
