Job description

Bilingual Territory Sales Manager -  Quebec

Role Summary

Reporting to the VP / General Manager - Canada, the Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving aggressive growth and establishing market leadership for conveyor belting, Power Transmission and Fluid Power product portfolio across Quebec.

The incumbent is responsible for developing industrial sales across key markets, including food processing, packaging, automotive, wood, pulp and paper, logistics, airports, distribution centres, and other industrial sectors within the assigned territory.

The Territory Sales Manager is also responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and leveraging the full Ammega product portfolio to maximize customer value and territory growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Territory Development & Market Leadership

  • Own and deliver sales targets and market share growth across Eastern Canada 
  • Develop and execute a territory expansion strategy to establish Ammega Canada as a market leader 
  • Identify and prioritize high-growth verticals (e.g., food processing, packaging, logistics, airports, distribution centers, agriculture) 
  • Build strong market visibility and brand recognition in an underpenetrated region 

2. End-User & OEM Sales (Primary Focus)

  • Develop direct relationships with end users and OEMs to drive specification and long-term partnerships 
  • Identify opportunities to replace competitive belts and standardize on Ammeraal Beltech solutions 
  • Lead technical and commercial sales discussions, positioning value beyond price (performance, lifecycle cost, food safety, uptime, On time delivery, lead times) 
  • Generate consistent project pipelines and conversion opportunities 

3. Distributor Channel Development

  • Build and strengthen relationships with select strategic distribution partners 
  • Drive pull-through demand by influencing end users and ensuring distributors execute 
  • Conduct joint sales calls, training, and account planning with distributor partners 
  • Align distributor activity with territory growth priorities and hold partners accountable to results 

4. New Business Development (Hunter Mindset)

  • Proactively identify and win new customers, applications, and projects 
  • Build a strong pipeline through: 
    • Cold outreach and prospecting 
    • Customer visits, email, social media
    • Industry networking and events 
    • Referrals and market intelligence 
  • Consistently convert opportunities into sustainable, long-term business 

5. Account Management & Strategic Execution

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for key end users, OEMs, and distributors, including: 
    • Key decision makers and influencers 
    • Application opportunities and conversion targets 
    • Competitive positioning strategies 
  • Conduct regular business reviews with top customers and partners 
  • Expand share of wallet within existing accounts 

6. Commercial Excellence & CRM Discipline

  • Fully utilize Salesforce CRM to: 
    • Manage pipeline, opportunities, and account activity 
    • Track progress against targets 
    • Maintain accurate and complete customer data 
  • Maintain a robust and active pipeline with strong opportunity hygiene 
  • Maintain detailed customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunity updates to support accurate forecasting and business planning.
  • Use data and insights to prioritize efforts and improve win rates 

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with: 
    • Customer Service and Inside Sales 
    • Application/Technical Product Specialists 
    • Operations and Installation teams 
  • Ensure seamless execution from opportunity quote order after-sales support 
  • Support product launches, promotions, and industry initiatives 
  • Assist in the development and execution of sales initiatives to achieve territory objectives
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the VP / General Manager

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in industrial B2B sales, preferably in conveyor belting, Power Transmission and Fluid Power, material handling, or related industries 
  • Proven track record of: 
    • New business development and territory growth 
    • Selling to end users, OEMs, and/or distributors 
    • Driving technical or application-based sales 
  • Strong understanding of industrial processes and conveying applications is preferred 

 Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Additional Requirements

  • Based in Quebec  
  • Willingness to travel 50-70% within the territory (mostly day trips)
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Eligible to work in Canada 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred 

Job Conditions:

  • Job Location: 
  • Days of work: Monday to Friday.
  • Salary: $70k to $85k CAD annually (depending on profile & relevant experience) + Commissions

Sous la responsabilite du vice-president / directeur general - Canada, le responsable commercial regional est charge de stimuler une croissance dynamique et d'asseoir la position de leader sur le marche pour la gamme de produits comprenant les bandes transporteuses, la transmission de puissance et la transmission hydraulique dans tout le Quebec.

Le titulaire du poste est charge de developper les ventes industrielles sur les marches cles, notamment l'agroalimentaire, l'emballage, l'automobile, le bois, la pate a papier et le papier, la logistique, les aeroports, les centres de distribution et d'autres secteurs industriels au sein du territoire qui lui est attribue.

Le responsable commercial regional est egalement charge d'identifier les opportunites de marche, de developper des relations strategiques avec les clients et de tirer pleinement parti de la gamme complete de produits Ammega afin de maximiser la valeur pour le client et la croissance du territoire.

Responsabilites cles

1. Developpement du territoire et leadership sur le marche

Assumer et atteindre les objectifs de vente et de croissance des parts de marche dans l'Est du Canada

Elaborer et mettre en uvre une strategie d'expansion territoriale visant a positionner Ammega Canada comme leader du marche

Identifier et hierarchiser les secteurs verticaux a forte croissance (par exemple : agroalimentaire, emballage, logistique, aeroports, centres de distribution, agriculture)

Renforcer la visibilite sur le marche et la notoriete de la marque dans une region sous-penetree

2. Ventes aux utilisateurs finaux et aux equipementiers (priorite principale)

    Developper des relations directes avec les utilisateurs finaux et les equipementiers afin de favoriser l'integration de nos produits dans les specifications et de nouer des partenariats a long terme

    Identifier les opportunites de remplacement des courroies concurrentes et de standardisation autour des solutions Ammeraal Beltech

    Mener des discussions techniques et commerciales, en mettant en avant la valeur ajoutee au-dela du prix (performances, cout du cycle de vie, securite alimentaire, disponibilite, respect des delais de livraison, delais de livraison)

    Generer un flux constant de projets et d'opportunites de conversion

3. Developpement du reseau de distribution

    Etablir et renforcer les relations avec des partenaires de distribution strategiques selectionnes

    Stimuler la demande en influencant les utilisateurs finaux et en veillant a ce que les distributeurs mettent en uvre les actions necessaires

    Mener des visites commerciales conjointes, des formations et la planification des comptes avec les distributeurs partenaires

    Aligner l'activite des distributeurs sur les priorites de croissance du territoire et responsabiliser les partenaires vis-a-vis des resultats

4. Developpement de nouvelles affaires (esprit de chasseur)

    Identifier et conquerir de maniere proactive de nouveaux clients, de nouvelles applications et de nouveaux projets

    Construire un solide pipeline grace a :

o            La prospection a froid

o    Les visites clients, les e-mails et les reseaux sociaux

o    Le reseautage et les evenements sectoriels

o    Les recommandations et les informations de marche

    Convertir systematiquement les opportunites en activites durables et a long terme

5. Gestion des comptes et mise en uvre strategique

    Elaborer et mettre en uvre des plans strategiques pour les principaux utilisateurs finaux, equipementiers et distributeurs, notamment :

o    Les principaux decideurs et prescripteurs

o    Les opportunites d'application et les objectifs de conversion

o    Les strategies de positionnement face a la concurrence

    Organiser regulierement des reunions de bilan avec les principaux clients et partenaires

    Accroitre la part de marche au sein des comptes existants

6. Excellence commerciale et maitrise du CRM

    Exploiter pleinement le CRM Salesforce pour :

o    Gerer le pipeline, les opportunites et l'activite des comptes

o    Suivre les progres par rapport aux objectifs

o    Maintenir des donnees clients precises et completes

    Maintenir un pipeline solide et actif, avec une gestion rigoureuse des opportunites

    Consigner de maniere detaillee les interactions avec les clients, les activites commerciales et les mises a jour des opportunites afin de faciliter l'etablissement de previsions precises et la planification commerciale.

    Utiliser les donnees et les analyses pour hierarchiser les efforts et ameliorer les taux de reussite

7. Collaboration interfonctionnelle

    Travailler en etroite collaboration avec :

o   le service client et les commerciaux sedentaires

o    les specialistes techniques et des applications

o    les equipes operationnelles et d'installation

    Assurer une execution fluide du processus opportunite devis commande service apres-vente

    Soutenir les lancements de produits, les promotions et les initiatives sectorielles

    Contribuer a l'elaboration et a la mise en uvre d'initiatives commerciales visant a atteindre les objectifs du territoire

    Effectuer d'autres taches et projets speciaux confies par le vice-president / directeur general
