Atlas Disposal, a leader in sustainable waste management solutions, is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Regional Sales Manager to oversee and develop its Arizona sales team. This full-time, exempt position is based in Laveen, AZ, and reports directly to the President & CEO while working closely with General Managers. The Regional Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, coaching and mentoring sales representatives, and ensuring the consistent execution of sales strategies. Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of sales representatives across Arizona, providing day-to-day leadership and support
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor new sales team members to ensure high performance and retention
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs, coaching sessions, and weekly one-on-one meetings to foster team growth and accountability
  • Set clear sales expectations and activity standards for direct reports, holding team members accountable for pipeline development and quota attainment
  • Own regional revenue targets and monitor sales activity, pipeline health, and close rates
  • Ensure accurate CRM usage, forecasting, and reporting to support business objectives
  • Support key customer opportunities and participate in contract negotiations as needed
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company growth goals
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Customer Experience teams to support pricing, retention, and service delivery
  • Provide leadership with regular updates on market performance and sales opportunities
  • Lead Arizona sales operations and support alignment with teams in Northern California and Utah, including periodic travel between markets
Qualifications
  • 5–10+ years of sales leadership experience with direct reports
  • Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop sales teams
  • Demonstrated experience driving team accountability and performance management
  • Strong skills in CRM, pipeline management, and forecasting
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities
  • Willingness to travel throughout regional markets as needed
