Job description

AES a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the nation.  We have recently expanded our capabilities as a single source supplier by adding a Mechanical Services Division as well as becoming a Misc. Steel manufacturer.  These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors.  Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide.  AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead times.


Relocation to the Tallassee/Auburn, AL area is required within 12 months of hire

Directs internal sales team that handles customer quotes, inquiries, and problems via e-mail and sometimes telephone. Develops and monitors the application of product quoting procedures, operating structure, and information flow. Responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining administrative and technical procedures to provide responsive service to customers. Develops internal sales policies, rates, schedules, procedures and methods. Ensures the volume of work produced meets product/service standards and exceeds quality standards. Ensures that departmental operating costs, sales, and profit goals are attained. Approves personnel activities concerning hiring, training, development, and evaluation of staff performance. Manages order-processing activities of the team.

What You’re Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as escalation point for customer quoting, inquiries, issues, and complex requests to ensure timely resolution
  • Oversee and guide team handling of quoting, customer inquiries, order processing, and product information to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Ensure proper review and understanding of customer-provided drawings and specifications across the team
  • Manage and monitor the end-to-end lifecycle of customer requests from inquiry through production and delivery
  • Oversee handling of order modifications, cancellations, and returns to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure consistent and disciplined quote follow-up processes, including reporting, status tracking, and coordination with third-party vendors
  • Drive coordination and alignment across internal departments (sales, operations, logistics, finance) to improve efficiency and customer experience
  • Ensure customer data and records are accurately maintained within CRM systems
  • Establish expectations and accountability for accurate tracking of customer interactions and account activity in CRM tools
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance overall customer experience

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree.
  • Requires at least 8 years related experience.
  • Requires at least 3 years’ experience as a manager.
  • Must be able to train, evaluate, and direct the work of assigned employees.
  • Requires ability to establish policies and manage business and operational aspects of inside sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective listening skills.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of the organization, products, and services. May require advanced problem solving.

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $135,000 - $176,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, and 10 paid holidays.
