Robinson College of Business is seeking an Assistant Director, Operations and Event Sales who is a flexible, self-starter with experience in event sales and customer service, and willing to take a hands-on, proactive approach to maximizing event sales and operational effectiveness.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Robinson's Buckhead Center is located in the heart of Buckhead at 3348 Peachtree Rd NE, and serves as the home of Robinson's graduate programs. The Center hosts classes and events six days a week from 7:00am - 10:00pm.

This is an operations leadership and event sales role that interacts with Robinson faculty, staff and students, as well as event clients from the Atlanta business community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead the daily operations of the Buckhead Center, overseeing the team that provides operational support to ensure maximum functionality, efficiency and effectiveness for eight Robinson College units on-site, visitors from the Atlanta campus, and external event clients.

  • Responsible for creating and implementing an external event sales program to generate revenue to support Buckhead Center operations. Identify and establish contact with potential external event customers. Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers. Attend industry and networking meetings to build relationships and identify potential sales leads. Meet with prospective clients to understand event objectives, showcase venue capabilities, and pitch event space. Recommend marketing strategies. Generate and submit sales reports to management.

  • Maintain departmental procedures to ensure timely follow-up to all event and customer service requests. Identify opportunities to improve departmental processes and customer service. Develop new process innovation strategies to meet these demands.

  • Responsible for HR and personnel related matters for the Buckhead Center staff. Oversee hiring and disciplinary actions. Supervise and support staff in their day-to-day responsibilities. Identify opportunities for individual professional development.

  • Implement team building and collaboration strategies to ensure a strong sense of cohesion and trust within the department at the Buckhead Center.

  • Primary point of contact between the Center and the Property Management team. Uphold lease agreements. Manage resolution of any issues. Distribute property notices to Buckhead Center community.

  • Oversee emergency operation response protocols for the Buckhead Center and its constituents. Lead on-site emergency response and evacuations.

Qualifications
:

Bachelor's degree and three years of supervisory/management experience, or a combination of education and related experience. Or a Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience.
