Job description

OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager (Print/Point-of-Sale/Promotional) with a strong background in print production, point-of-sale (POS) programs, promotional products, and client account management. The successful candidate will lead strategic client relationships, oversee complex marketing and procurement initiatives, and drive revenue growth through innovative solutions and exceptional service delivery.

This role is ideal for a proactive, client-focused professional who thrives in fast-paced agency, print, promotional product, or procurement outsourcing environments. The successful candidate will work closely with client brand teams, supply chain partners, production vendors, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of marketing programs while identifying opportunities for business growth and operational efficiencies.

Location: Austin, MN (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Contract Length: Full-Time
Hours: Standard Business Hours

Pay: $80–95.000/annual base
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as the senior point of contact for client accounts, building trusted relationships and ensuring client expectations are consistently exceeded.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions to evaluate program performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client brands, business objectives, marketing strategies, and industry trends to provide consultative recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for increased revenue, margin enhancement, and business expansion within existing client portfolios.
  • Drive thought leadership and innovation by recommending new print, POS, promotional, and marketing solutions that create value for clients.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with brand standards and quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal creative, production, procurement, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and production partners to manage timelines, approvals, and project deliverables.
  • Develop clear and actionable project briefs based on client objectives, brand guidelines, and campaign requirements.
  • Review creative concepts, proofs, samples, and production materials to ensure alignment with client expectations and project specifications.
  • Monitor campaign and project performance through analysis of sales, financial, operational, and service-level metrics.
  • Prepare and deliver client reports, presentations, business reviews, and recommendations for future optimization and growth.
  • Support sustainability initiatives by promoting environmentally responsible production practices and helping achieve key sustainability objectives.
  • Escalate project risks, challenges, and client concerns proactively while recommending effective solutions.
  • Maintain strong financial oversight, ensuring project profitability, budget adherence, and cost control across all assigned accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years of progressive account management experience within a print production company, promotional products organization, marketing agency, branding agency, or procurement outsourcing environment.
  • Proven experience supporting Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), retail, or branded marketing clients.
  • Demonstrated expertise in print production, point-of-sale (POS) programs, promotional products, merchandising, or related marketing execution initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, production planning, vendor management, and supply chain coordination.
  • Proven track record of growing client accounts, increasing revenue, and enhancing profitability through strategic account management.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects from concept through production and delivery.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and client expectations simultaneously.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams, including client marketing and brand teams, procurement groups, supply chain partners, and production vendors.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience interpreting sales reports, financial data, project metrics, and performance indicators.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and related business tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
  • Prior people leadership, team leadership, or mentoring experience required.
PREFERRED
  • Experience managing large-scale POS procurement, production, and deployment programs.
  • Background supporting retail marketing, shopper marketing, promotional campaigns, or in-store activation initiatives.
  • Experience working with print vendors, production facilities, and promotional product suppliers.
  • Knowledge of sustainability initiatives within print, packaging, promotional products, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience delivering strategic recommendations that improve procurement efficiency, product innovation, and operational effectiveness.
  • Experience working within highly matrixed client and agency environments.
