Associate Director, Salesforce EffectivenessPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly collaborative and data driven Associate Director of Sales Force Effectiveness to support commercial performance and strategic execution across the business.
This role plays a critical part in improving sales productivity, aligning field execution with business priorities, and delivering actionable insights that inform key decisions. The individual will partner closely with cross functional stakeholders to design and implement sales effectiveness strategies, optimize field operations, and enhance overall commercial performance.
This is a highly visible role that requires strong analytical capability, business acumen, and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions without direct authority.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of incentive compensation programs aligned to business goals
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance against targets, providing insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Partner with sales leadership to support business planning and execution of field strategies
  • Collaborate with regional leaders to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities across markets
  • Deliver actionable insights related to sales metrics, customer engagement, and territory performance
  • Lead territory alignment and workload optimization to improve efficiency and coverage
  • Drive cross functional initiatives in partnership with teams such as marketing, finance, medical, and analytics
  • Develop and communicate sales force effectiveness strategies including segmentation, targeting, and call planning
  • Partner with internal analytics and forecasting teams to ensure alignment and consistency across reporting and insights
  • Evaluate and implement tools and technologies, including advanced analytics and AI, to enhance sales effectiveness
  • Manage external vendors supporting sales force effectiveness initiatives
  • Represent field perspectives in cross functional discussions and contribute to strategic decision making

QualificationsRequired Experience
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree with 12 plus years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 10 plus years of experience
  • Must have a background in Pharma management consulting, commercial analytics, sales operations, or related areas 
  • Strong analytical skill set with experience translating data into actionable business insights
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across cross functional teams
  • Experience designing and managing incentive compensation programs
  • Familiarity with territory design, segmentation, and sales performance metrics
  • Advanced proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office and data visualization platforms such as Power BI
  • Experience working with CRM and analytics platforms such as Salesforce, Veeva, or Tableau
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior leadership
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving environment
Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting specialty or complex therapeutic areas
  • Prior experience managing team members or leading projects
  • Familiarity working within matrixed organizations
