Job description

Busch Vacuum Solutions is a leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling.
We have an immediate opening for a driven and customer-focused Inside Sales Engineer to join our team at our Phoenix, AZ office! In this role, you'll help power Busch Vacuum Solutions'growth by turning technical inquiries into sales opportunities, developing tailored vacuum solutions, and collaborating with sales, engineering, and customer service teams to deliver best-in-class support.
This position follows a Monday-Friday onsite schedule, with standard office hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The targeted compensation range for this position is $60,000.00-$75,000.00 annually, depending on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. Compensation also includes a 15% KEIP bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development
  • Convert inbound inquiries and marketing-generated leads into qualified opportunities through consultative engagement and proactive outreach.
  • Develop customized vacuum solutions aligned with customer requirements through collaboration with field sales and cross-functional support teams.
  • Qualify sales leads and route high-potential opportunities to appropriate field sales or technical experts.
  • Respond to incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and web forms with professionalism and urgency.

Quoting & CRM Management
  • Prepare and issue accurate and timely quotes using SAP/CRM tools.
  • Track and manage all sales activities in the CRM, ensuring pipeline visibility and sales forecast accuracy.
  • Maintain records of customer interactions, quotes, and purchase history to improve customer experience.

Collaboration & Team Alignment
  • Work closely with Field Sales (Sales Managers, Territory Managers) to ensure seamless handoff of qualified leads and support larger project bids.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Product Marketing Management on technical inquiries and solution configuration.
  • Support pricing, availability, and delivery inquiries in collaboration with Customer Service and Operations.

Customer Education & Value Communication
  • Communicate the features, benefits, and applications of industrial products and solutions.
  • Educate customers on value-added services, emphasizing total cost of ownership advantages and long-term equipment performance.

Sales Process & Continuous Improvement
  • Actively contribute to the development and refinement of Inside Sales workflows and best practices.
  • Provide feedback from customer interactions to inform marketing campaigns and product development.
  • Meet or exceed monthly KPIs related to lead qualification, opportunity generation, and sales revenue.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 2+ years of B2B inside sales or technical sales experience preferred; experience in industrial or technical products a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, or other CRM platforms.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings is desirable.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements
  • Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
    • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
  • Willingness to travel domestically for training
  • Valid Drivers' License must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards
