Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a growing national semiconductor company is seeking a couple of Mid Level or Senior IC Product Engineers to join their expanding team. We are partnering directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search. The company offers a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary, profit sharing, and equity (RSstock).
Overview:
The Senior IC Product Engineer will play a key role in bringing new semiconductor products from concept to production. This position is responsible for first silicon validation, product characterization, qualification, yield analysis, reliability testing, and production support. The engineer will work closely with Design, Test, Process, Device, and Operations teams to validate product performance, improve yields, and ensure successful product releases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead first silicon bring-up, validation, debug, and qualification activities
* Develop and execute characterization, validation, and qualification plans
* Analyze silicon performance, test data, and failure mechanisms to identify yield improvement opportunities
* Collaborate with Design and Test Engineering teams to define test methodologies and production screening strategies
* Support development of ATE test solutions, wafer sort, final test, and characterization programs
* Drive reliability characterization and technology certification efforts, including JEDEC and application-specific stress testing
* Manage product qualification schedules, milestones, and communication with internal teams and external vendors
* Provide support for high-volume manufacturing and ongoing yield improvement initiatives
* Lead technical projects and collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines
REQUIREMENTS:
* BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline
* At least 3-5+ years of Product Engineering and/or Test Engineering experience within the semiconductor industry
* Device characterization and silicon debug
* Strong experience with IC product characterization, validation, qualification, and reliability testing
* Hands-on experience with first silicon (Pre-Si/Post-Si) validation and debugging
* Expertise in yield analysis, failure analysis, and production ramp support
* Experience working with ATE platforms, test hardware, and wafer probing environments
* Strong data analysis skills using tools such as JMP, Python, C, or scripting languages
* Ability to understand and analyze circuit behavior, device performance, and test data
* Experience collaborating with Test Engineering teams to optimize product performance and manufacturability
* Excellent communication, organizational, and project leadership skills
Preferred Experience:
* Production yield enhancement and failure analysis
* Semiconductor process and device technology exposure
* Multi-site testing and high-volume manufacturing environments
* Fab or semiconductor manufacturing experience is highly desirable

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
