Business Development Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Hunter to join our team for the territory states: Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Eastern NY
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a passion for identifying and acquiring new business opportunities. This role is focused on driving sales growth by proactively pursuing new clients, expanding and managing our existing customer base.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Identify and Prospect New Clients: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and develop a target list. Use various methods (cold calling, networking, social media) to reach out to potential customers.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
  • Lead Generation: Generate and qualify leads to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms and close sales agreements with new clients, ensuring mutual satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target companies.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities to identify new business opportunities.

Your Profile:

  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Results-Oriented: Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly self-driven with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads and sales activities.
  • Must be willing to travel overnight a minimum 15%.

For individuals assigned, hired to work or working remotely in/out of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts,Nevada, Washington State, or New York City, Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $120,240 to $146,960 per year. Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range. Our total compensation package goes beyond base compensation and it will include a competitive benefits package starting with 2 weeks paid time off accrued on a monthly basis, 12 holidays, 48 hours personal/sick time (exception for NY where we follow State law,) medical, dental, vision, 401K, holidays, pet insurance and tuition reimbursement all effective day one of hire.
