Prep Cook – Mountain Creek

Location: Vernon, NJ         Reporting to: Executive Chef

About Mountain Creek: 

Mountain Creek, a four-season resort, offering skiing/snowboarding, bike park, waterpark, weddings, mountain coaster, restaurants, and lodge.

How the Prep Cook works with the Team: 

Responsible for the safe handling and preparation of our food products for our guests in a clean and professional manner.

Team Member Responsibilities: 

  • Consistently prepare our food as laid out in the recipes and station guides
  • Handle, store and serve food in a safe manner following all Mountain Creek and Health Department safety procedures
  • Maintain clean working station
  • Be well versed in Food & Beverage policies and procedures
  • Consistently set up, maintain, and break down workstations
  • Cross training in other roles to fill in as needed
  • Follow portion control and cooking time guidelines
  • Able to use Slicer, Combi Oven and Deep Fryer
  • Use char broiler, and salamander to prepare food to proper temperature
  • Create sauces from scratch according to recipe
  • Understand and follow daily production guidelines
  • Rotate products on a first in first out basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

Team Member Qualifications: 

  • Must be 18 years old or older and able to use a slicer
  • Must have basic knowledge of cleanliness and sanitation practice
  • Friendly, enthusiastic demeanor
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
