What We Are Looking For:

A highly skilled Aquatic Trainer that provides exceptional guest and team member service. This vital role is responsible for maintaining the highest level of safety and comfort for our hotel/resort properties.

What You Will Do:

โ€ข Conduct aquatic training classes, in-service training drills and internal spot checks

โ€ข Responsible to ensure all recreation areas maintain compliance with the Aquatic Safety Program

โ€ข Perform regular spot checks and report any violations immediately

โ€ข Lifeguard training classes will be conducted for new hires and recertification of current team members

โ€ข Conduct in-service training drills to all team members per the requirements set by the Aquatic Safety Program

โ€ข Audits Pool Service Manager's records of logs/checklists

โ€ข Maintains database of all records, logs, and lifeguard certifications

โ€ข Responsible to compile data and filter exception reports for distribution to Risk Management and Executive Committee

โ€ข Compiles and produces statistical reports used by Risk Management and LHUO Executive Committee

โ€ข Makes suggestion/recommendations for corrective action to Pool Service Manager and hotel Executive Committee when warranted

โ€ข Prepare and submit all required certifications and general information to the Aquatic Safety Portal per required standards

โ€ข Attend all appropriate meetings

โ€ข Maintain regular and reliable attendance in alignment with company standards and operational needs.

โ€ข Embrace flexibility by performing other duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.

Your Experience Includes:

โ€ข Must demonstrate the ability to swim 200 yards, tread water for 1 minute without the use of hands, retrieve a 10-lb brick from the bottom of the pool and return to the starting point.

โ€ข Ability to master the Aquatics Safety Instructor Certification

โ€ข Must hold valid Drivers License and meet eligibility criteria for travel throughout resort complex

โ€ข Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards

โ€ข Complies with required safety regulations and procedures

โ€ข Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)

โ€ข Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
