Summary

Join our team as a Safety Trainer, where you’ll inspire, educate, and empower associates to work safely every day. In this key role, you’ll lead safety training for all team members, ensuring they understand and follow federal, state, local, and company requirements. If you’re passionate about teaching, building strong safety habits, and making a real impact on our workplace culture, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose and help keep every associate safe.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative duties to track completion of training, scheduling of classes and resources, compile and prepare statistical information on training program status.
  • All Lock Out Tag Out Authorized training is 100% current and up to date each quarter.
  • All Powered Industrial Truck Authorized training is 100% current and up to date each quarter.
  • Ensure all Maintenance Safety Training is current.
  • Keep track of and ensure 100% completion of all required monthly awareness topics
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience in a poultry processing/manufacturing environment.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

When in a plant environment:

  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and100% humidity.
  • May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50db to 110 db.
  • May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facility.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
  • Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
  • Able to stand for several hours.
  • Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
