Safety and First Aid Team Member, Part-Time, Orlando, FL
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Safety and First Aid Team Member is responsible for providing a safe environment at the Crayola Experience. This role will administer first aid, and coordinate emergency and non-emergency care to all guests and staff members. The incumbent also performs clerical and non-technical duties as assigned by the Revenue Manager or Manager on Duty.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides quality first aid, and coordinate emergency and non-emergency care to sick and injured Staff Members and Guests.
  • Responsible for checking bags upon guest entrance to the attraction, walking through the facility to ensure there are no safety hazards or inappropriate guest behaviors such as utilizing the attractions in an unsafe manner
  • Responsible for maintaining the lost and found.
  • Responsible for properly executing the Crayola Experience's policy on lost children and assisting managers with facility shutdown processes if needed.
  • Assists managers to contact mall security and or local authorities for safety incidents involving inappropriate guest behaviors or unsafe situations
  • Demonstrates/models the Crayola Experience's Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all Staff Members and Guests.
  • Demonstrates competency in the assessment and range of treatment for the guest or Staff Member being treated.
  • Maintains First Aid/CPR/AED Certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Thoroughly and professionally documents assessments, physical findings and treatment provided during the incident in a timely manner. Assists with maintenance of records and gathering information as requested for incident reporting.
  • Completes Supply and Maintenance checklist per scheduled shift.
  • Identifies areas for safety improvements and actively participates in continuous improvements and resolving problems

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience in a safety role/function preferred.
  • At least 6 months' experience as an EMT preferred.
  • EMT experience preferred. Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
  • Strong oral communication skills are essential, coupled with exemplary interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:
Standing up to 8 hours a day. Walking up to 3 hours a day; 30 minutes at a time. Continuous use of hands and fingers. Frequently grasping firmly and twisting/turning of the fingers and hand(s) simultaneously. Occasionally reaches above shoulder level. Occasionally lifts an object from a lower to a higher position 200 to 350 pounds. Occasionally carrying an object of 11 to 25 pounds. Occasionally pushes up to 75 pounds. Occasionally pulls up to 350 pounds. Frequently stooping and bending. Frequently squatting. Occasionally crouching and kneeling. Occasionally crawling. Occasional climbing. Must be able to perceive attributes of an object through touch. Must be able to hear as it relates to normal conversation. Must be able to see as it relates to general, near, far, color, peripheral vision and vision monotony.
